Jesus tells the Parable of the Talents as a challenge to Christians to be busy about God’s work and be found faithful. It is our responsibility to leverage, utilize, and implement what God has entrusted to us and to do so for His glory.
Jesus uses the Parable of the 10 Bridesmaids to hammer home his message on the last days. The point of Matthew 25:1-13 is that we need to be continually watching and waiting for the return of Jesus because we do NOT want to miss it!
Jesus is returning whether we are ready or not but what we must understand is that if we truly believe in His return, our behavior will match accordingly. Let’s not get so caught up in everyday life that we miss is coming.
Jesus speaks of the end of the world in Matthew 24 and uses Daniel 9 as confirmation that a time of trial, trouble, and tribulation is coming. This will be marked by signs and markers we can look for that will signify the end of the world we know it.
